How to make 🍞 Bread in Infinite Craft
Step-by-step recipe, cheapest path first — everything below is crafted from the four starting elements.
How to make 🍞 Bread — step by step
The cheapest known path. Craft each step in order — every ingredient is either a basic element or something you make earlier in this list.
- Earth + Wind = DustBoth Earth and Wind come straight from your starting elements — craft Dust first, everything else in this chain depends on it.
- Fire + Water = SteamSteam is a stepping stone — keep it in your inventory, later steps build directly on it.
- Fire + Steam = EngineIf you already made Engine in an earlier session you can skip this one and move on.
- Engine + Wind = WindmillOne quick craft for Windmill: drag Engine onto Wind and keep the result for the chain.
- Dust + Windmill = FlourFlour is only needed as an ingredient — make it once, don't farm extra copies.
- Earth + Flour = BreadFinal craft: combine Earth and Flour to make Bread. That's the whole path — 6 crafts total.

Why this is the cheapest path to Bread
We rank every known recipe for Bread by total crafts from the four starting elements, not just by the final combination. The two direct ingredients — Earth and Flour — cost 1 and 6 crafts to build from scratch, which is why the whole chain above needs only 6 crafts. The alternatives in the table below are ranked the same way: their "approx. cost" is the pricier ingredient plus one, so you can see at a glance which route actually saves you crafts — and which ones quietly waste five.
Alternative combinations for Bread
| Combination | Approx. cost |
|---|---|
| Fire + Flour | 7 crafts |
| Flour + Lake | 7 crafts |
| Flour + Lava | 7 crafts |
| Flour + Mountain | 7 crafts |
| Flour + Plant | 7 crafts |
Any valid combo works — pick the ingredients you already have.

Tips for crafting Bread
- Craft in one sitting. The 6-craft chain for Bread takes under two minutes once you know the route — the list above is already in dependency order, so just go top to bottom.
- Reuse your inventory. If you've played before you probably own the early intermediates (like Steam) already — skip straight to the first step you can't do.
- Missing an ingredient? Check the alternatives table — e.g. Fire + Flour also produces Bread if that route fits your inventory better.
